Taco Burger
Ingredients
For the Burgers:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon taco seasoning
- 6 hamburger buns
- 6 slices pepper jack cheese
For the Avocado Pico de Gallo:
- 3 roma tomatoes (diced)
- 1/4 white onion (diced)
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 1 Jalapeño Pepper (deseeded and diced)
- 1 Avocado (diced)
- 1 lime (juiced)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
Instructions
For the Patties:
- Preheat a grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Form the ground beef into 6 even patties and season them with the taco seasoning.
- Place on the grill over direct heat and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until the patties reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Place the slices of cheese on the patties for the last minute of the cook time to melt the cheese. Remove the patties from the grill.
For Serving:
- Mix together the Avocado Pico De Gallo ingredients in a small bowl.
- Place each of the patties on a bun and top with the avocado pico de gallo. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!
